Even though the South Guilford HomeSchool Cougars scored an imposing 63 points on Monday, Gospel Light Christian still came out on top. Gospel Light Christian snuck past South Guilford HomeSchool with a 67-63 win. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Gospel Light Christian also won the last time the pair played back in November of 2023.
Gospel Light Christian was led to victory by Drake Walker and Samuel Sisk. Walker dropped a double-double on 24 points and ten rebounds, while Sisk scored 28 points along with five assists and five rebounds. The contest was Walker's sixth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Trey Skipper, who scored seven points along with five rebounds.
Gospel Light Christian's victory bumped their record up to 10-3. As for South Guilford HomeSchool, they bumped their record down to 9-14 with that loss, which was their third straight at home.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Gospel Light Christian will take on Alamance Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Alamance Christian is coming into the contest hot, having won their last four games. As for South Guilford HomeSchool, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Surry HomeSchool at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
