Softball Recap: Sachse Has No Trouble Against South Garland

Sachse got themselves on the board against South Garland on Friday, but South Garland never followed suit. They put the hurt on the Titans with a sharp 19-0 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 23-2 back in March.

Logan Schultz made a big impact no matter where she played. She tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Schultz was also big at the plate, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. That's the most runs she has posted since back in March.

In other batting news, Maya Mcclarity and Zoe Worley did most of the damage at the plate: Mcclarity went 3-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs, while Worley scored three runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-3. That's the most stolen bases Worley has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaycie Watson, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

The victory made it two in a row for Sachse and bumps their season record up to 16-9. The team dominated over those games too, winning by an average of 17.5 runs. As for South Garland, their loss was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-15.

Coincidentally, Sachse and South Garland will both be playing Naaman Forest the next time they take the field. The Mustangs will host the Rangers at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Titans will head out to face them at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
