Viewmont and Northridge are an even 5-5 against one another since May of 2015, but likely not for long. The Vikings will host the Knights at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Viewmont is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7 runs per game this season.
Viewmont will bounce into Thursday's game after beating Bonneville, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. The Vikings had just enough and edged out the Lakers 9-7. The game was the first time the Vikings have beaten the Lakers on their field since March 13, 2015.

London Dickerson made a splash while hitting and pitching. She struck out 11 batters over seven innings while giving up three earned (and four unearned) runs off five hits. Those 11 strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing a base.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Ricki Smith, who fired off two home runs and four RBI while going 2-for-4. Another player making a difference was Karli Dickerson, who scored three runs while going 2-for-3.
Viewmont lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. They are 4-1 when they post two or more home runs.
Meanwhile, Northridge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against Bountiful, falling 19-3.
Kiersten Carbone was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-2. She also put up a double, which was her first of the season.
Viewmont pushed their record up to 6-8 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.0 runs over those games. As for Northridge, their loss dropped their record down to 5-9.
