It was a good run, but the Decatur Golden Gators unfortunately witnessed the end of their seven-game winning streak on Thursday. The contest between Decatur and Tahoma wasn't particularly close, with Decatur falling 56-38. Decatur has struggled against Tahoma recently, as their contest on Thursday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Tahoma found their leader in underclassman Adalynn Busch, who scored 14 points along with nine rebounds and two steals. Busch continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Kate Wooten, who scored ten points along with five rebounds.
Decatur's defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-4. As for Tahoma, their win was their 14th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-2.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Kennedy Catholic the next time they take the court. Decatur will head out to face Kennedy Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while Tahoma will host them at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
