Rapides' win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jaydan Wilson, who scored 14 points along with six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Zayveian Johnson, who scored 11 points along with four steals.
Rapides' victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-7. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.3 points per game. As for Monterey, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-9 record this season.
Rapides will challenge Avoyelles Charter at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Avoyelles Charter is coming into the match hot, having won their last four games. As for Monterey, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Alexandria Country Day at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Alexandria Country Day comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
