For Griffith Institute's part, Olivia Mesch was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She tossed six innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off six hits. Mesch has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in nine consecutive appearances. She was even better at the plate, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with one home run, five RBI, and three runs. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Grace Ricci was incredible, getting on base in all five of her plate appearances with five runs, two stolen bases, and one triple. She continues to improve, besting her previous run total in each of the last three games she's played.
