On Friday, Vista PEAK Prep strolled past the Nighthawks with points to spare, taking the game 57-40.
Vista PEAK Prep's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Amirah Pena, who scored 14 points along with three steals, and Eianna Jackson, who scored 21 points along with three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Jackson has scored all season.
While Regis Groff couldn't quite beat the Spartans on Friday, the two-point margin was a huge improvement compared to the 58-point defeat they were dealt on Wednesday. Regis Groff fell just short of the Spartans by a score of 49-47. Regis Groff has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Vista PEAK Prep's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-4. As for Regis Groff, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-7.
Everything came up roses for Vista PEAK Prep against the Fusion when the teams last played back in February of 2023 as the squad secured a 75-38 victory. Does Vista PEAK Prep have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Fusion turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
