A District 2 recap October 22, 2013
AGWSR added to the longest winning streak in A District 2 this week by beating Lake Mills, 31-6. The victory was the ninth in a row for the team.
Newman Catholic was the team that made the biggest jump in the rankings, moving from seventh to fifth in the league. Earlier in the week, the Knights defeated Southeast Webster-Grand 41-22.
Newman Catholic's offense cannot be tamed this season and the Knights feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Jack Fitzgerald has thrown for 615 yards and 4 touchdowns this season, while Kaden Wadle has 22 catches for 234 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when AGWSR takes on Prairie Valley. Skip Eckhardt's team is currently in first, while the Warriors are in third.
Prairie Valley led A District 2 in scoring this week after putting up 44 points on West Hancock.
