The Riverside Panthers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their seventh straight loss. They fell 67-55 to Hughes. Riverside was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Hughes apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February.
Riverside's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Camden Eason, who scored 13 points along with eight rebounds, and Jack Cupples who scored ten points. The game was Cupples' third in a row with at least ten points.
Riverside bumped their record down to 1-7 with that defeat, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Hughes, their victory bumped their record up to 7-3.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Riverside will take on Chester County at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Chester County has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 417 points over their last six matches. As for Hughes, they will head out on the road to face off against Mt. Pleasant at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Mt. Pleasant focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 on Thursday.
