The Elkhart Wildcats fell victim to the Meade Buffaloes''s stalwart defense on Friday and couldn't make it onto the board. They took a serious blow against the Buffaloes, falling 52-0. Having soared to a lofty 72 points in the game before, Elkhart couldn't push the score so high this time.
Brock Keith got back to being his usual excellent self, as he rushed for 209 yards and five touchdowns on only 13 carries, and also caught a touchdown. Keith was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 51 yards. Another player making a difference was Cade Cronister, who threw for 128 yards and two touchdowns while completing 100% of his passes.
Elkhart's loss dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Meade, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-1.
Elkhart does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Meade will be playing in front of their home fans against Skyline at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Skyline knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past four games -- so hopefully Meade likes a good challenge.
