It was a good run, but the Blacklick Valley Vikings unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Monday. They fell just short of Northern Cambria by a score of 49-47. Blacklick Valley has struggled against the Colts recently, as their contest on Monday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Blacklick Valley lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Gino DiPaolo, who scored eight points along with five rebounds. Alex Reba was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Blacklick Valley's defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-8. As for Northern Cambria, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 15-7 record this season.
Blacklick Valley will head out on the road to face off against the Vikings at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Shanksville Stonycreek and the Vikings are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads. Northern Cambria does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
