Baseball Recap: Bayside Takes a Loss

Bayside's last matchup with Eau Gallie could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's match on Monday. The Bayside Bears lost 18-10 to the Eau Gallie Commodores. It was the first time this season that the Bears let down their fans at home.

Victor Hernandez made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in four of his five plate appearances with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Brody Garrisson, who scored two runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Bayside's loss dropped their record down to 8-2. As for Eau Gallie, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season.

Bayside will square off against Melbourne at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Bayside is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.1 runs per game this season. As for Eau Gallie, they will be playing at home against Heritage at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
