The Leonard Lancers will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Jupiter Christian Eagles at 5:00 p.m. Leonard will be strutting in after a victory while Jupiter Christian will be coming in after a loss.
Leonard scored the most points they've had all season to find success back in December of 2023. They walked away with a 49-39 win over Dr. Joaquin Garcia. The victory was just what Leonard needed coming off of a 49-23 defeat in their prior matchup.
Leonard found their leader in underclassman Euterria Davis, who scored 30 points. That makes it four consecutive games in which Davis has scored at least a third of Leonard's points. Another player making a difference was Witney Naurelus, who scored nine points.
Meanwhile, Jupiter Christian's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. They took a 32-23 hit to the loss column at the hands of Dreyfoos School of the Arts. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Jupiter Christian has scored all season.
Leonard's win ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 3-2. As for Jupiter Christian, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 5-4.
