The Chilton Tigers will square off against the Brillion Lions at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Chilton is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.2 runs per game this season.
Chilton will roll into the contest after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any runs on Friday, then bounced right back against Oconto on Monday. The Tigers blew past the Blue Devils 15-3. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Tigers as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.
Lauren Roehrig made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out nine batters over five innings while giving up just two earned runs off eight hits (and only one walk). She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. She was even better at the plate, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, four runs, and two stolen bases. Those four hits gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, Olivia Hoefner was incredible, going 4-for-5 with three runs, two doubles, and one stolen base. Those three runs gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Josie Nett, who went 1-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI.
Chilton kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 19 hits. They are 2-1 when they post 11 or more hits.
Brillion couldn't beat Wrightstown on Friday even though they stacked four runs on them in the first inning. The Lions took a 7-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tigers. Lions fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against the Tigers since Friday.
Brillion saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Carter Miller, who went 1-for-3 with one run.
Chilton's win bumped their record up to 3-6. As for Brillion, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 8-4 record.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Tuesday. Chilton hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.4 home runs per game. However, it's not like Brillion struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 0.7 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
