It was a good run, but the Seffner Christian Crusaders unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They fell 60-53 to Bloomingdale. Seffner Christian was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Bloomingdale apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2016.
Noelle Mengel was her usual excellent self, scoring 29 points along with six rebounds for Bloomingdale. Another player making a difference was Izellah Kendrick, who scored 20 points along with eight rebounds.
Seffner Christian's defeat ended a ten-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 16-3. As for Bloomingdale, their victory was their 16th straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 20-0.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Seffner Christian will take on Cardinal Mooney at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Florida (Cardinal Mooney is ranked 16th, while Seffner Christian is ranked 19th). As for Bloomingdale, they will head out on the road to face off against Armwood at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
