The Blue Ridge Tigers fell victim to the Gunter Tigers's stalwart defense on Thursday and couldn't make it onto the board. They were beaten by the Tigers 54-0. Blue Ridge has struggled against Gunter recently, as their match on Thursday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Walker Overman was on fire for Gunter: he threw for 138 yards and three touchdowns while completing 85.7% of his passes, and also punched in two touchdowns on the ground. Cannon Lemberg did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 104 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Blue Ridge has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season. As for Gunter, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 11-0.

As for Gunter, they will be playing at home against Trinity Leadership at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Trinity Leadership will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 899th, while Gunter is ranked 68th).
