It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Western had no problem doing just that on Monday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Peru Tigers a 10-0 shutout. Considering the Panthers have won 12 contests by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

The victory was the seventh in a row for Western, bringing their record up to 26-4. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Peru, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 15-11 record this season.

As of now, neither Western nor Peru have any future games scheduled.
