Valley Catholic had to kick off their season with an away game, and unfortunately wound up with a long bus ride home. They took a 21-28 hit to the loss column at the hands of Estacada. This was the first contest for both squads, starting Valley Catholic off on the wrong foot at 0-1, while giving Estacada a 1-0 record.
Valley Catholic will be defending their home turf for the first time next week when they go up against Sisters at 7:00 PM. Estacada are packing up and heading on the road for the first time this season. They face off against Molalla next week at 7:00 PM.
