Softball Recap: Tuesday's Loss Ends Trinity's Winning Streak

If Trinity was riding high fresh off their 10-0 takedown of Redding Christian last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Trinity Wolves took a 15-10 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Enterprise Hornets on Tuesday. The Wolves were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Hornets earlier this season, when they won 21-19.

Raegan Millette made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with four RBI and two doubles. Another player making a difference was Katlyn Corbett, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of her five plate appearances.

Trinity moved to 3-1 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 16.7 runs over those games. As for Enterprise, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Coming up, Trinity will challenge Loyalton at 11:00 a.m. on Friday. Trinity has given up an average of 9 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. As for Enterprise, they will take on Redding Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Enterprise is facing Redding Christian at the right time seeing as Redding Christian is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
