The Hamilton Bulldogs fought the good fight in their overtime matchup against the Frost Polar Bears on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took a 59-55 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Polar Bears. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Despite the loss, Hamilton still got an impressive performance from Mike Bushnell, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 11 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Pierce Summers, who scored eight points along with three blocks.
Even though they lost, Hamilton smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Hamilton's defeat dropped their record down to 11-11. As for Frost, their victory bumped their record up to 10-15.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hamilton will take on Itasca at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Frost, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Valley Mills at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Valley Mills has now lost eight straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 19.
