The Reed-Custer Comets and the Wilmington Wildcats squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but sadly the Reed-Custer Comets had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 44-42. Reed-Custer just can't catch a break and has now endured four losses in a row.
Several Comets players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Mackenzie Foote, who scored ten points along with six rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Foote has scored all season. Kaylee Tribble was another key contributor, scoring six points along with 12 rebounds and four steals.
Reed-Custer has not been sharp recently as the team has lost five of their last six matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 13-16 record this season. As for Wilmington, their win bumped their record up to 10-19.
Reed-Custer does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Wilmington also has no future games currently scheduled.
