Sentinel and Capital are an even 5-5 against one another since May of 2021, but likely not for long. The Spartans will be playing at home against the Bruins at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Sentinel is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.
Sentinel is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They put the hurt on Helena with a sharp 20-10 win on Thursday. The Spartans might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six contests by six runs or more this season.

Alyssa Hanninen made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out eight batters over five innings while giving up three earned runs off six hits. Hanninen was also stellar in the batter's box, firing off two home runs, five runs, and six RBI while going 4-for-5. Those six RBI gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Piper Whitman, who went 3-for-5 with four runs, three doubles, and three RBI. Those four runs gave her a new career-high. Isabel Schwartz was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one double.
Sentinel kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 18 hits. They got six more hits than Helena's also-impressive total of 12.
Meanwhile, after only two runs in their last matchup, Capital made sure to put some runs up on the board against Hellgate on Thursday. The Bruins blew past the Knights 19-4. That 15-run margin sets a new team best for the Bruins this season.
Sentinel's victory bumped their record up to 14-0. As for Capital, their win bumped their record up to 5-7.
Sentinel skirted past Capital 3-2 in their previous matchup on Tuesday. Do the Spartans have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bruins turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
