North Plainfield dropped their record down to 9-5 on Tuesday, which also ended the team's five-game streak of wins. They lost 8-1 to the Franklin Warriors. The matchup marked the Canucks' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

As for Franklin, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 3-10 record. The game was the first time they have beaten North Plainfield on their field since April 2, 2015.

For Franklin's part, Josslyn Sejeck spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on two hits and racked up 16 Ks. Sejeck has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in nine consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Vicky Gabryszewski, who went 3-for-5 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. Faith C was another key player, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. North Plainfield will square off against Bound Brook at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Franklin, they will take on Elizabeth at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
