TCAL Division II - District 5 (6 Man) recap Sept. 26, 2012
Jesse Castro and Luke Renfro provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Faustina Academy. The connection went for 70 yards, the longest such play in TCAL Division II - District 5 (6 Man) this season.
Wise County Christian HomeSchool took down the Falcons 62-12 last week, the largest margin of any game. Castro threw for 108 yards and one touchdown and ran for 286 yards in the win.
Cleburne Christian Academy's dynamic duo of Aaron Midkiff and Josh Bernardy proved tough for Wylie Prep Academy to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Midkiff threw for 327 yards and three touchdowns and Bernardy had 167 yards receiving. Clay Whaley helped Cleburne Christian Academy's passing attack out by catching five balls for 60 yards.
Cleburne Christian Academy's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Lions feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Midkiff has thrown for 782 yards and 12 touchdowns this season, while Bernardy has 22 catches for 509 yards. Midkiff also leads the league in rushing with 714 yards.
Weatherford Express HomeSchool led the league in scoring this week after putting up 67 points on Universal Academy. Jacob Tankersley ran for 157 yards in the win.
