On Friday, Centralia beat Washington County 54-42. The win made it back-to-back wins for Centralia.
Meanwhile, Northeast Kansas Nighthawks HomeSchool strolled past Christ Prep Academy with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 67-48. Given Northeast Kansas Nighthawks HomeSchool's advantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 96th, while Christ Prep Academy is ranked 244th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Northeast Kansas Nighthawks HomeSchool to victory, but perhaps none more so than Blaine Hunninghake, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten rebounds. The matchup was Hunninghake's seventh in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Caden Meier, who scored 15 points along with six rebounds.
Centralia now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Northeast Kansas Nighthawks HomeSchool, their win was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-1.
