Concord had lost three games straight , but after bumping their record up to 7-11 on Wednesday that streak is in the rearview. They came out on top against the Mishawaka Cavemen by a score of 6-3. This was a revenge game for the Minutemen: when they faced off against the Cavemen back in April, they had to take a 5-4 loss.
Mark Herman was excellent, going 2-for-3 with three RBI and one run. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in May of 2024. Ian Watson also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.
Concord was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .414. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Mishawaka only posted a batting average of .160.
As for Mishawaka, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 13-7. That's two games in a row now that they have lost by exactly three runs.
On Mishawaka's side, they saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Izaiah Bute, who went 1-for-4 with one double and one RBI.
