After losing to the Aberdeen Tigers the last time they met, the North Fremont Huskies decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. North Fremont blew past Aberdeen 63-35 at home. The victory made it back-to-back wins for North Fremont.
Several Tigers players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Griffin Knittel, who scored 11 points. Knittel scored a full 31.4% of Aberdeen's points, the fifth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Gage Driscoll, who scored 13 points.
Aberdeen struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only two offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
North Fremont is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches, which provided a nice bump to their 7-2 record this season. As for Aberdeen, they now have a losing record at 2-3.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. North Fremont will square off against Soda Springs at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Aberdeen won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Teton at 7:00 p.m. on January 6th. Teton knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past five contests -- so hopefully Aberdeen likes a good challenge.
