Good Hope posted their closest win since September 8th on Monday. They won by a set and slipped past the Hayden Wildcats 2-1. This was a revenge game for the Raiders: when they faced off against the Wildcats two weeks ago, they had to take a 2-1 loss.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Good Hope got the one that really mattered. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 19-25, 15-12.

Isabella Guzman paced Good Hope's offense, picking up seven kills. Guzman got some help from Campbell Koch and her 18 assists.

Hayden's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Laci Cochran, who had five kills and four aces. With that strong performance, Cochran is now averaging an impressive 2.3 aces per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Chloe Watts, who had 11 kills.

Good Hope's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-11. As for Hayden, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 14-7 record this season.

Good Hope didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 win against Danville on the 16th. Hayden has also already played their next match (against Corner), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
