Clover Garden School won the last time they faced Ascend Leadership, and Brayden DeAlto did his part to make sure it happened again. The Clover Garden School Grizzlies blew past the Ascend Leadership Aviators 68-37 on Tuesday thanks in part to DeAlto, who went 10 of 16 on his way to 24 points along with eight boards and four steals. He is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last five games he's played.
The team also got some help courtesy of Charlie Castaneo, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 13 boards. He continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last four games he's played.
Clover Garden School's win ended a six-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-4. As for Ascend Leadership, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-3 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Clover Garden School will welcome Southern Wake Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Ascend Leadership, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against American Leadership Academy-Johnston at 7:30 p.m.
