The Carver A&T Wildcats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three matches by 27 points or more this season. They blew past Overlea 38-11 at home. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Carver A&T also won the last time the pair played back in February of 2023.
Carver A&T found their leader in underclassman Elisah Guity, who scored 17 points along with four steals. That makes it five consecutive games in which Guity has scored at least 25% of Carver A&T's points. Jada McAliley was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with five steals.
Carver A&T has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season. As for Overlea, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.
Carver A&T will head out on the road to face off against Sparrows Point at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few points on average, (Sparrows Point: 28.6, Carver A&T: 28.2) so any points scored will be well earned. As for Overlea, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Patapsco at 5:30 p.m.
