The Land O' Lakes Gators''s five-game losing streak came to an end on Friday. They strolled past Sunlake with points to spare, taking the game 20-6. The victory was just what Land O' Lakes needed coming off of a 23-0 loss in their prior matchup.
Leading Land O' Lakes to victory were Mason Clarke and Cody Gwinn. Clarke rushed for 64 yards and a touchdown on only eight carries, while Gwinn rushed for 156 yards and a touchdown.
Land O' Lakes' win bumped their record up to 5-5. As for Sunlake, their loss was their ninth straight at home (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 1-8.
Land O' Lakes will take on Wiregrass Ranch at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Wiregrass Ranch will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak. As for Sunlake, they will head out on the road to face off against Mitchell at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Mitchell's favor is that they have now posted big point totals in their last six matches.
