Meanwhile, Godley came tearing into Friday's game with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6 runs), and they left with even more momentum. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Indians a 17-0 shutout. The Wildcats might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten contests by seven runs or more this season.
Samantha Andersen made a big impact no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out six over four innings pitched. That's the fewest hits she has allowed over her last six matches. She was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
In other batting news, Hayden Keeton was incredible, firing off two home runs, four runs, and four RBI while going 2-for-4. Sierra Beratto was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple.
Godley always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .562. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Alvarado only posted an OBP of .286.
Life Waxahachie's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Godley, their victory bumped their record up to 13-5.
