Oak Creek won the last time they faced Verona and things went their way on Saturday too. The Knights had just enough and edged out the Wildcats 2-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Knights have posted since August 29th.

Their offense was headlined by Ava Turlais and Isa Ruether, who picked up 12 kills apiece. They got some help from Julia Schneider and her 18 assists. Samantha Stikel controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

Despite the loss, Verona still got an impressive performance from Sophia Trias, who had 16 digs. Nadie Rahn also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Oak Creek is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season. As for Verona, the loss snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 11-2 record.

Oak Creek didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Oconomowoc on the 6th. As for Verona, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 2-1 loss against Mukwonago on the 6th.
