The Mount Horeb Vikings will be home for the holidays to greet the McFarland Spartans at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Mount Horeb's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their third straight loss. They fell just short of Lakeside Lutheran by a score of 52-50. While losing is never fun, Mount Horeb can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 266th, while Lakeside Lutheran is ranked 128th).
Meanwhile, McFarland came up short against Oregon on Tuesday and fell 60-47. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points McFarland has scored all season.
Mount Horeb now has a losing record at 3-4. As for McFarland, their defeat ended a seven-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 5-2.
