Basketball Recap: Training Center Christian Takes a Loss

Training Center Christian was the 79-24 winner over El Dorado Christian when they last played one another back in December of 2018, but their luck changed this time around. Training Center Christian took a 54-42 hit to the loss column at the hands of the El Dorado Christian Buffalos on Monday. Training Center Christian was down 48-19 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Despite the loss, Training Center Christian still got an impressive performance from Creed Lopez, who dropped a double-double on 32 points and 12 boards. Lopez's evening made it 13 games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Bryce Bryan, who posted six points along with seven rebounds and four steals.

El Dorado Christian found their leader in sophomore Isaiah Rhodes, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten boards. Rhodes is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Jason Conduff, who scored 11 points.

This is the second loss in a row for Training Center Christian and nudges their season record down to 5-4. As for El Dorado Christian, they pushed their record up to 11-2 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home.

Training Center Christian didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 56-39 victory against Center Place on the 14th. As for El Dorado Christian, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 48-42 loss against Clinton Christian Academy on the 14th.
