Last Tuesday, Freedom strolled past Hickory with points to spare, taking the game 62-46. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Freedom.
Meanwhile, East Burke put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. Everything went their way against Draughn as East Burke made off with a 60-35 victory. Considering East Burke has won three matches by more than 24 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Braelyn Stilwell continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 22 points along with 9 assists and 8 steals. That makes it five consecutive games in which she has scored at least 25% of East Burke's points. Ally Moore was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with 6 rebounds and 5 assists.
Freedom's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for East Burke, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-0.
Freedom came up short against East Burke in their previous matchup back in November, falling 61-54. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of East Burke's Stilwell, who scored 21 points along with 8 steals.
