After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Leo, The DeKalb Barons were happy to have found some success on Friday. They walked away with a 28-21 win over Angola. That result was just more of the same for these two, as DeKalb also won the last time the pair played back in August.
Caiden Hinkle got back to being his usual excellent self, as he rushed for 245 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 55 yards and two touchdowns while completing 100% of his passes. Hinkle was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 56 yards. Xavier Bell also deserves a shout-out for his two touchdowns.
DeKalb is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-4 record this season. As for Angola, their loss dropped their record down to 2-8.
DeKalb will be playing at home against Fort Wayne Bishop Dwenger at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Angola does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
