Pahokee is 0-9 against Moore Haven since February of 2020 but things could change on Thursday. The Blue Devils will challenge the Terriers at 6:30 p.m. Pahokee will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last.
Having struggled with four defeats in a row, Pahokee turned things around against Inlet Grove on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 9-2 margin over the Hurricanes. Considering the Blue Devils have won three contests by more than six runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.
Michael Jackson made a splash no matter where he played. He pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Jackson was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with five stolen bases and one run.

In other batting news, Pahokee let Tiyler Rothstein and Jayden Putmon run wild. Rothstein got on base in all four of his plate appearances with ten stolen bases and three runs, while Putmon got on base in all four of his plate appearances with seven stolen bases and two runs. Rothstein has become a key player for Pahokee: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least two stolen bases, but 1-4 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Isaac Sarmiento, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with five stolen bases and one run.
Pahokee always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .706. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Inlet Grove only posted an OBP of .419.
Meanwhile, after soaring to ten runs the game before, Moore Haven was a bit more limited in their matchup on Tuesday. They came up short against Marathon, falling 14-2. The game marked the Terriers' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.
Moore Haven saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kenny Simmons, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run. Simmons is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's snagged at least one every time he's taken the field this season.
Moore Haven's loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Pahokee, their record is now 3-5.
Moore Haven's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Pahokee has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .606. It's a different story for Moore Haven, though, as they've only averaged .361. Will they be able to contain Pahokee's hitters?
Pahokee suffered a grim 10-0 defeat to Moore Haven in their previous meeting on Thursday. Can the Blue Devils avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
