The Wingfield Falcons will head out on the road to take on the Richland Rangers at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Wingfield is coming into the match on a five-game losing streak.
Wingfield lost a heartbreaker when they last took the court, but unfortunately for them the loss they were handed on on Friday was a bit more commanding. Their rough 70-48 loss to McComb might stick with them for a while. Wingfield has struggled against the Tigers recently, as their match on Friday was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the loss, Wingfield got a solid performance out of Tyler Arrington, who scored 18 points. Arrington has been hot recently, having posted 18 or more points the last five times he's played. Kentrell Jordan was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with three steals.
Richland won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Tuesday. They had to suffer through a rough 64-18 loss at the hands of Lanier. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Richland has scored all season.
Wingfield's defeat dropped their record down to 1-21. As for Richland, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost 13 of their last 14 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-17 record this season.
Wingfield couldn't quite finish off the Rangers when the teams last played last Friday and fell 63-60. Can Wingfield avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
