The Fairland Dragons put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They claimed a resounding 80-30 victory over Dawson-Bryant at home. The result was nothing new for Fairland, who have now won eight matchups by 28 points or more so far this season.
Leading Fairland to victory were Bree Allen and Addison Godby. Allen dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten rebounds, while Godby dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten rebounds. Those ten rebounds set a new season-high mark for her. Another player making a difference was Taegan Leep, who scored 12 points.
Fairland's victory was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-0. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 74.8 points per game. As for Dawson-Bryant, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-7.
Fairland will be playing in front of their home fans against Minford on Saturday. Minford will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings (they are ranked 188th, while Fairland is ranked seventh). Dawson-Bryant's road trip will continue as they head out to face Chesapeake at 7:30 p.m. on January 8th.
