Softball Recap: Notre Dame Has No Trouble Against Red Bank

Notre Dame lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Red Bank, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Monday's match. The Notre Dame Fighting Irish were the clear victor by a 14-6 margin over the Red Bank Lions on Monday. For the Fighting Irish, this counts as revenge for the 13-11 win the Lions walked away with the last time they faced one another back in March of 2024.

Notre Dame let Scarlett Hughes and Dalana Brown run wild. Hughes scored four runs and stole Three bases. while going 4-for-4, while Brown scored four runs and stole Six bases. while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Mariamne Llamas, who scored two runs and stole Three bases. while going 1-for-2.

Notre Dame now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Red Bank, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Notre Dame will host South Pittsburg at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Red Bank, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Red Bank Lions duke it out with Polk County Wildcats at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
