The Williamstown Yellowjackets put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. They claimed a resounding 65-21 victory over Wheeling Central Catholic at home. Williamstown might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team's won eight matchups by 35 points or more this season.
It was another big night for Maxwell Molessa, who rushed for 241 yards and four touchdowns on only eight carries, and also threw for 46 yards and two touchdowns while completing 75% of his passes. Molessa was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 61 yards. Lynken Joy was another key contributor, rushing for 66 yards and a touchdown.
Despite the loss, Wheeling Central Catholic still got an impressive performance from Braden Mcwreath, who rushed for 126 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.9 yards per carry.
Williamstown's victory was their ninth straight at home (dating back to last season), which pushed their record up to 10-0. As for Wheeling Central Catholic, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-5.
Williamstown has the luxury of staying home another week and will welcome Doddridge County at 1:30 p.m. on November 11th. Wheeling Central Catholic does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
