The Regents Lions waltzed into their matchup Thursday with six straight wins but they left with seven. They secured a 33-27 W over Faith Christian. That's another feather in the cap for Regents, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Regents' victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was David Keppel, who scored eight points along with six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Josh Morales, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds.
Regents' win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-1. As for Faith Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 5-3.
Regents will look to defend their home court on Friday against Ridgeview Christian at 6:45 p.m. One thing working in Ridgeview Christian's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last seven matches. As for Faith Christian, they will head out on the road to face off against Christian Heritage Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Christian Heritage Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 24 last Thursday.
