The Blooming Grove Lions lost against the Teague Lions back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Blooming Grove fell 45-37 to Teague.
Jehmel Rice was his usual excellent self, scoring 15 points along with eight rebounds and four steals for Teague. The match was Rice's seventh in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was NICK BARRENTINE, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds.
Blooming Grove's defeat dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Teague, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-6.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Blooming Grove will take on Malakoff at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Teague, they will be playing at home against Groesbeck at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Groesbeck is hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses.
