The Arkoma Mustangs will head out on the road to face off against the Gans Grizzlies at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Arkoma is coming into the match on a six-game losing streak.
Arkoma fell victim to Foyil's stalwart defense two weeks ago and couldn't make it onto the board. They were the victim of a rough 21-0 loss at the hands of the Panthers. The last quarter was a mere formality, since the game's final score was reached by the end of the third quarter.
Meanwhile, Gans came up short against Cave Springs on Thursday and fell 30-22. Gans has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
The losses dropped Arkoma to 1-6 and Gans to 2-5.
Everything came up roses for Arkoma against Gans in their previous meeting back in October of 2022 as the team secured a 52-6 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Arkoma since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
