The Providence School Stallions were the 38-28 winner over the Beachside Barracudas when they last played one another back in November of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Providence School was dealt a 66-22 loss at the hands of Beachside on Friday. Providence School has been going strong on the season, but this is now their second loss in a row.
Providence School's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Jett Hood, who rushed for 154 yards on only ten carries, and Tiago Tauler who gained 53 total yards and a touchdown.
Even if they lost, Providence School's defensive line sure didn't make it easy: Beachside's QB was sacked four times before it was all said and done. Leading the way was Samuel Peters III and his two sacks.
Beachside's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Edward Jordan, who threw for 244 yards and six touchdowns. Jordan hasn't dropped below three passing touchdowns for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Cade Gines, who rushed for 153 yards and two touchdowns on only 14 carries.
Providence School's defeat dropped their record down to 7-3. As for Beachside, the win (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 9-1.
Providence School will have plenty of time to ponder what went wrong as they've got a bye scheduled next week. After, they'll take on Orlando Christian Prep at 7:30 p.m. on November 17th. Orlando Christian Prep will be looking to keep their four-game home win streak alive. Beachside does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
