The Ocean View Seahawks had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 24.7 points), and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. They came out on top against Xavier Prep by a score of 54-41. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Ocean View also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2014.
Ocean View's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Cavin Flanagan led the charge by scoring 21 points. Blake Girotti was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
Ocean View's win bumped their record up to 11-6. As for Xavier Prep, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost eight of their last nine matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-13 record this season.
Ocean View and Royal will face off at 12:00 p.m. on December 30th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Royal is looking to tack on another W to their five-game streak on the road.
