After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Niles North, Niles West was happy to have turned things around on Friday. Everything went their way against the Regina Dominican Panthers as they made off with a 16-3 win. With that victory, the Wolves brought their scoring average up to 6.3 runs per game.

Maise Parylak and Penny Hutchison did most of the damage at the plate: Parylak went a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, three RBI, and one triple, while Hutchison went 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Those two hits gave Parylak a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Sarah Park, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Niles West kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 16 hits. They are 4-1 when they post 11 or more hits.

Niles West's record now sits at 8-13. As for Regina Dominican, the loss snapped their winning streak at eight games and leaves them with a 12-4 record.

Looking ahead, Niles West will take on Maine West at 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Regina Dominican, they will square off against Lake Forest Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Caxys will aim to continue their four-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last.
