After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Kennedale, The Western Hills Cougars were happy to have found some success on Thursday. They took their game at home with ease, bagging a 70-6 victory over Diamond Hill-Jarvis. With Western Hills ahead 56-0 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Western Hills to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kyu Wilson, who rushed for 69 yards and a touchdown on only five carries. Kaream Williams was another key contributor, gaining 68 total yards and two touchdowns.
Another reason for the win was Western Hills' imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for seven sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Rod Gray and Love Willis who racked up four sacks between them.
Western Hills' victory bumped their record up to 5-5. As for Diamond Hill-Jarvis, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-10.
Western Hills does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Diamond Hill-Jarvis also has no future games currently scheduled.
