The Holy Name Green Wave pushed their score all the way to 69 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 74-69 hit to the loss column at the hands of Lake Catholic. Despite running the score up even higher than they did on Saturday (63), Holy Name still had to take the loss.
Lake Catholic's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Cross Nimmo, who scored 20 points along with eight rebounds. Those 20 points set a new season-high mark for him. Peyton Budrys rini was another key contributor, scoring 21 points.
Holy Name's loss dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Lake Catholic, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
Holy Name will head out on the road to face off against Padua Franciscan at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Padua Franciscan will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings (they are ranked 689th, while Holy Name is ranked 84th). Lake Catholic will be home for the holidays to greet Fairview at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Fairview is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt want to keep things rolling.
